Library cards are free to all residents of Georgia. Persons who attend school, own property, or employed in Georgia are eligible for a free PINES card. Patrons of both PINES and non-participating Georgia public libraries may receive a PINES card. Users from non-participating Georgia libraries shall have the same privileges as PINES users. PINES cards are valid for 2 years. If a patron loses his/her card, the fee for a replacement card is $2.00. Replacement for a well used library card is free at discretion of Library Staff.
To assist students taking distance education courses, Worth County Library will provide free test proctoring service as a courtesy to our patrons. Library staff will proctor written and/or online exams. Exam proctoring is subject to the availability of authorized staff and will only be provided if the conditions set by the examining institution can be met without undue disruption to the library’s normal functions.
Worth County Library System provides computers and Internet access in accordance with its mission statement to provide current, high-demand, high-interest materials in a variety of formats for persons of all ages, utilizing the latest information technologies. All users are expected to use this privilege and these resources within legal limits and for ethical purposes.
Worth County Library System provides meeting rooms at Margaret Jones Public Library as a public service to the community for use by individuals and organizations. These spaces are designed for use by library-sponsored programs, community and civic group activities, individuals, and the government agencies that provide continuing financial support to the library. Both rooms are available for use during and after library hours. Any and all use of this facility will be left to the discretion of the Director.
The purpose of this document is to provide a guide for the growth and development of collections in support of the library’s mission “enrich and inform people of all ages by providing materials, services, and facilities necessary to meet the current and future informational and recreational reading needs of the residents of all Georgians, including all areas of Worth County.”
The Worth County Library System gratefully accepts non-monetary and monetary gifts. The donor may make a request of how monies are to be spent but, monies will be used at the discretion of the Director to enhance library services or collections. A record shall be kept of how monies are spent.
